Best Public Relations tactics

Public relations, marketing and advertising is important for all businesses. If potential customers don't know about your product or service that they will hardly be able to buy what you sell.

Relations public tactics are important. There are of countless tactics that you can implement, there are countless tactics that so-called "professional communication" may suggest that implement you PR tactics that you do not understand correctly.

When I give my clients of advice on public relations tactics, there are some important things that we share with them. Technical and tactical PR should only be selected if they meet the following key criteria:

Those who are easily measurable- If you do something that you want to know about its success or failure. If the results of an activity that you make are not measurable, you should not waste your time. Easy to measure the results means that you can also follow the improvements, to assess what effect any change in the activity on your overall results and then make any change accordingly.

Those that are easy to work- Tactical which are complex to implement can be complex to understand. Easy-to-implement techniques also averages are less likely to be errors. This also means that you can implement different tactics quickly if circumstances change.

Those that you can be involved with- In a more social and an increasingly digital world. Sometimes, there is a need for instant action. In a world where marketing and advertising are more and more community and on the bi-directional communication, you need to be part of the process that you are the only one who can explain what it is you do.

Networking - social platforms and social media sites You cannot ignore the social media and social networking platforms. Facebook alone has more than 600 million registered profiles (and half the Australian population is on Facebook). Talking also about brands online and it is likely that they can talk about your brand. You must be where the people are to participate in the conversation and talk about your own brand.

Those that you can understand- If a "professional communication" convinced them to implement tactics of public relations that you do not understand and that they cannot explain, it is time to look for another consultant. If I work with a company, I want to that they all fully understand. If they will include well everything I do for them, they will be more appreciative of the results.

Those that make your customers feel important- Two way conversations online means that the customers expect to be contacted. If you have a social presence and they asked a question, they expect a response. You must ensure that your customers feel important. An example may be putting featured then on your Facebook page, it may be providing additional information or perhaps just free promo products.

Better public relations tactics covering all the points I have mentioned above. Make sure that you use easy to implement, easy to measure and understand the tactics and those that you can be involved with.
