A few years earlier, one of my clients was presented in December "O list" in Oprah Magazine - publication Holiday Gift Guide. That the investment led to hundreds of thousands of dollars of sales.
While this is obviously a "home run" in the world of advertising product, one thing is certain: Holiday Gift Guide courses lead to sales.
What Holiday Gift Guides?
They were the raids of product that see you everywhere in the media in the fourth quarter, with recommendations for great gifts to buy.
If you sell products, and the fourth quarter, sales are important to you, this information is essential:
Top magazines accept submissions of products for the fourth quarter Holiday Gift Guides during the summer. Once their summer deadlines have been met, they are more open to the comments of gift Product Guide.
After thousands of advertising investments, I can share with you five ways to make your product irresistible to media for the fourth quarter Holiday Gift Guides:
Offer something new. Even if you have no new features this year, you can create something new, in grouping of several products together under the form of a gift or offering a travel size option. And if you have something new, drive with this product. The media always want the latest thing featured.Provide something colorful. Discover the best gift magazine Guides and you will see that they are all compatible a way - they are coloured. Artistic directors have a lot of comments on the choice of Gift Guide, give em what they want. If your product is not coloured, use colorful packaging, or photos with colored accessories.
Help others. Some publishers of Gift Guide require that the elements included give a percentage to a charity. Others require that you offer readers an exclusive discount on your products. Provide these, and you will be in advance which is not to provide these offers.
Consider changing your point of price. Most of the Gift Guides are broken down by category: under $10, for $25, $50 and less than $100. So if you have a product that is $10.99, down to $9.99 updates available to pitch in the category Under $10, which generally increases the likelihood of media coverage (the media is always looking products very, very good markets).
Provide photographic grand. One of the biggest mistakes that I see with product companies offer SO - SO photos of products. The media usually sees a photo of the product before the actual product, and a large photo can make the difference between the interest and no interest.
